Dr. Braga earned her DDS degree in Brazil in 1994. She completed her graduate training in Endodontics in 2000. She then moved to London, UK in 2003 and obtained the equivalence for her diplomas through the International Qualifying Examination. Dr. Braga worked as an educator and endodontist at the prestigious Dental Institute at King’s College London, UK and also in private practice on Harley Street as an endodontist.
In 2011, Dr. Braga moved to Pittsburgh, Pa. where she has held a position of full-time faculty in the Department of Endodontics , School of Dental Medicine, University of Pittsburgh. Among her duties, she supervised undergraduate and graduate endodontic students in the endodontic clinic. She has contributed to the endodontic literature and presented her research at the 2016 American Association of Endodontics meeting on Pulp Regeneration and Root Canal Obturation.
In 2016, Dr. Braga completed the Post-Doctoral Endodontic Program receiving her Endodontic Specialty Certification in the Department of Endodontics, School of Dental Medicine, University of Pittsburgh. Since then she has worked in private practice.
Dr. Braga maintains her educator membership with the American Association of Endodontics, American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association and the Western Pennsylvania Dental Society.
